Zhu Zhu Hamsters are battery operated hamsters that are the latest craze and already are identified as this Christmas must have gift. These life life hamsters have their own unique quirks and personalities that make different sounds depending on how you interact with them. Your Zhu Zhu pet is ready to go as soon as it is removed from the package. The pet has two activation buttons and one sensor button. The button on its head and one on its back activate the play. The button on its nose acts as a bump sensor when in Explore Mode and as a Try-Me button when in Sleep Mode.


There are a total of five Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters to choose from:

  1. Pipsqueak - Pipsqueak sure is sweet and is the smallest of the group but that doesn't mean that she is shy. In fact, this tiny hamster is very impressive and isn't afraid of anything. An adventurer at heart, her curiosity definitely shows that she loves to play, investigate, run and slide. Just give her some room to roam and watch her do her thing

  2. NumNums- If there is any crumbs left out and about then this little cutie will find it! She's an amazing cuddly friend that you can count on for tons laughs and plenty of love. Her ultra sensitive sniffer can easily track down a hidden treasure from quite a distance, so just sit back and watch her run to find some tasty snacks!
  3. Chunk - Relax man! This easy going surfer hamster is best known for chilling out, taking it easy and laying low. But when he catches a hint of some amazing waves, he is off like a bolt of lighting! This cool hamster is all about the hugs and lives to feel the love.
  4. Mr. Squiggles - Is experienced and there isn't much that this persnickety hamster hasn't seen, done and lived to tell about it. He doesn't mean to be rude but get out of his way! He is a hamster on a mission. He just loves to explore and when he is done then he explores some more! Make sure that you love him, cuddle with him and watch him go. Just make sure you don't call him cute!
  5. Patches: Patches just adores flowers and will do just about anything to get an opportunity to sniff some aromatic flower petals. While she is constantly on the go and moving around, she makes sure to make time to love her human friends. This hamster is good-natured , adoring, and consistently on the go!

Just a few helpful remiders if you are buying a Zhu Zhu Hamster, as these are small but sometimes overlooked areas that will insure your childs expereince with their new toys is a joyous one.

1. Batteries! Purchase an extra pair of triple-A batteries. There is nothing more frustrating when your kids new robotic pet hamster runs out of batteries when they are just starting to have fun with it.

2. If you have pets that like to play with chew toys then I suggest having you and your kids play with their hamsters with the pets out of the room. Wouldn't want to have one of these furry little creatures get gnawed on by the family pet! Espically in front of your young children!

3. These hamsters work best when on hard surfaces like hard wood floors, linolium or their Zhu Zhu accessories. Using them on carpet surfaces may result in damage to your hamster

4. While the cuddly hamsters can handle bumping into things on their own, throwing them around is most certainly result in damage to your hamster.
